Accessibility Statement
Introduction
Legislative Decree No. 82 of May 27, 2022, transposed Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 17, 2019, on the accessibility requirements for products and services.
Guidelines on the accessibility of services, pursuant to Article 21 of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022.
The decree was published in the Official Gazette (General Series No. 152 of 01-07-2022) and came into force on July 16, 2022, but the related provisions are effective from June 28, 2025.
Lardini Spa is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with Law No. 82 of May 27, 2022, which transposed Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 17, 2019, on accessibility requirements for products and services. This accessibility statement applies to the websites https://www.lardini.com/.
Compatibility status with the requirements
The website https://www.lardini.com/ is partially compliant with the requirements of Annex A of UNI EN 301549:2018 (WCAG 2.1) due to the non-compliance cases and/or exceptions listed below. Lardini Spa is conducting, together with its suppliers, an analysis aimed at making the necessary interventions to make the sites accessible and compliant with the standard.
Inaccessible content
The following content is not accessible because it is not compatible with the underlying harmonized standard EN 301 549:
- There are images without captions on individual pages. It is difficult to navigate to images with screen readers. | WCAG: 1.1.1
- There are links without link text on all pages. | WCAG: 4.1.2
- The contrast between text and background is too low on almost all pages. | WCAG: 1.4.3
- There are form fields without labels on all pages. It is difficult to navigate to form fields with screen readers. | WCAG: 4.1.2
- There are buttons without labels on individual pages. It is difficult to navigate to buttons with screen readers. | WCAG: 4.1.2
- There are particularly important areas marked with the role 'region' but without any labeling on almost all pages. This means screen reader users cannot recognize the purpose and content of the area. | WCAG: 1.3.1
- There are interactive elements on all pages whose names are not part of the labeling. This makes it difficult to control the website via voice control. | WCAG: 2.5.3
- On one page, there are ARIA buttons, links, or menu items without labeling. Navigation with screen readers to these elements is difficult. | WCAG: 4.1.2
In addition to automated scanning, manual tests have also been performed to verify compliance with WCAG 2.2.
Manual tests revealed further areas of concern:
- Timed multimedia content: lack of subtitles, transcripts, and audio descriptions for some videos and multimedia content (WCAG 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3, 1.2.5).
- Adaptability: some information conveyed only by sensory characteristics lacks a text alternative (WCAG 1.3.3).
- Distinguishability: in some sections, sufficient contrast is not guaranteed, the reflow criterion is not met, and some pop-up content is not properly managed (WCAG 1.4.3, 1.4.10, 1.4.13).
- Keyboard accessibility: points not navigable solely by keyboard and keyboard shortcuts not properly managed were detected (WCAG 2.1.2, 2.1.4).
- Navigation: titles, headings, and labels do not always provide clear and consistent indication (WCAG 2.4.6, 2.4.10).
- Input modalities: some elements lack correct labels or accessible names, making it difficult to use assistive technologies or voice commands (WCAG 2.5.1, 2.5.3).
- Input assistance: adequate mechanisms for error prevention or correction of data entered in forms are not always present (WCAG 3.3.1, 3.3.3, 3.3.4, 3.3.7).
- Compatibility: in some cases, status messages are not properly announced to screen readers (WCAG 4.1.3).
Code improvements already made and those planned will be developed in accordance with WCAG 2.2 guidelines. This statement was drafted on 09/22/2025. It was made using an assessment compliant with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2019/882 through a self-assessment carried out directly by the provider. The statement was created with the help of Eye-Able® technology from Web Inclusion GmbH. More information about Web Inclusion GmbH is available at https://eye-able.com/it. Manual tests were also performed.
Lardini Spa is conducting an analysis with its suppliers to make the necessary changes to make the sites accessible and compliant with regulations. Lardini Spa, aiming to progressively improve the experience of its web customers, has also proactively implemented the Eye-Able® SaaS software from Web Inclusion GmbH.
This functionality allows audits to scan individual site pages to identify digital barriers, providing compatible support that explains the error and proposes alternative code to correct it, along with other tools that enable website users to use important functions that can improve navigation. The company is committed to developing past and future code evolutions in accordance with WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
